Christmas In November

CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER

We celebrate the Holidays in many special ways,
This year Calo and Nunee set aside two special days
We traveled from our homes to our favorite resting place,
Before long the hotel room was full of Christmas grace.

Nunee placed the Christmas tree so easily to see,
Multi-colored garland soon filled the room with glee.
The packages were placed upon the table top with care,
Everything was carried out with love and great fanfare.

The packages were opened, and Calo cried with joy,
Nunee read her mind, but did not get her a toy.
Calo wanted a special pillow upon which to rest her head,
Nunee found the perfect one and placed it on her bed.

Nunee opened up her gift and gave Calo a hug,
Just what Nunee needed, a brand new big red mug.
Next gift bags were opened, and as we both peeked inside,
Mugs, tissues and games were all displayed with pride.

We watched a Christmas movie, ate Jello and drank iced tea,
We were as happy as two best friends could ever be.
This could become a yearly trip, but you just never know,
We'll meet again next year if the winter snows don't blow.
