Easter
Sunday
I
serve a risen Savior and He’s alive today,
He didn’t die and hasn’t left as some people say.
But He’s
with the Father and sitting at his right hand,
Watching all His children and making future plans.
He is
watching and listening to what we have to say,
Because He knows with Him we are coming to stay.
He’s not
preparing a guest room for you or for me,
But a permanent living place that I can’t wait to see.
Golden
streets will not be paved but solid through and through,
A special mansion made for me and one made just for you.
There will
be no places to rent or a lease to sign,
But the mansion I occupy will be totally mine.
There will
be no taxes to pay or grass to mow or upkeep,
But we walk in warm waters that’s at least ankle deep.
We can sit
on the shore and talk with friends all day,
Even say hello to Jesus as he pass’s by our way.
He’ll
smile and say hello and is everything alright,
There will be sunshine continually and there will be no night.
No need for
rest, for tired we’ll never be,
God made heaven perfect for you and for me.
Had he not
been nailed on the cross and went to make a way,
We could not serve a risen Savior and live with Him one day.
