MY DAD

Never overly outspoken or bold, but wise,
Sitting back taking in the world and its lies.

Smiling brightly at the moment of fruition,
Simply setting out to complete his mission.

Brave and strong, never to be afraid,
In the background mastering plans he has made.

Never puts himself first in his life,
Others taken care of first, free from any strife.

A teacher, patient, understanding and true,
Always showing what in turn for us to do.

When I'd loose my temper and raise my voice,
Looks of his told me to make a better choice.

His words straightforward with rock solid resolve,
Never a problem that this man cannot solve.

A true hero, never brags of accomplishment,
Solemnly taking the praise others have sent.

Always glad to see, never showing sad,
Have you met this man, he is my Dad.
