John
15:13
"Greater
love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his
friends."
As we
celebrate another Memorial Day, our thoughts are drawn to the many men and women
who are serving our country today in every part of the world, to make sure we
have freedom and peace here at home. We thank you for putting your life on
the line to keep the United States free from all aggressors. Today, we are
also reminded of the many brave men and women who have, through the years, given
the ultimate sacrifice for America's freedom, their life. These brave men
and women left families, loved ones, jobs and everything they knew as certain in
their lives to go to foreign lands and lay down their lives for America and her
freedom.
Because of
these brave men and women, we can worship where we please, read the books we
want to read, watch the television programs we choose and speak what we believe
in public. Our freedom came with the ultimate sacrifice of these brave
individuals who stood up for freedom and peace.
We honor you
today Veterans, and thank your families for giving you to serve. Thank you for
loving your country so much you were willing to die for it. Our freedom is
still being protected today, all over the world, by strong and brave men and
women who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep America free.
God bless you
Veterans, and God bless all service men and women serving around the world, and
we thank your families and loved ones for serving beside you at home. God
Bless America . . . again.
