SERENITY

When rest will not come to me
In the midst of a troubled night,
God hears my spirit cry out for help
And sends down serenity.

When I am bound down with life's cares
And don't know where to turn,
My Heavenly Father hears my pain,
His peace and love He shares.

I only need call out His name
He is immediately by my side,
To hold my hand and shine His light,
His loving care is always the same.

Carry me through life's days and nights
Never let me go I pray,
Send down from heaven the serenity I need,
Be with me Lord day by day.
