How
do you measure the price of a child
Precious
and humble, tender and mild
Full
of amazement at each new day
Waiting
for us to show them the way
Eyes
all aglow, little minds churning
Listen
carefully to what they are learning
Teach
them the way that they should go
And
pray each day that the time will go slow
Growing
so quickly, time flying by
We
tuck them in and give a small sigh
Each
day we search, looking deep in their eyes
You
know with a child there is no disguise
They
pay close attention to our daily life
Our
prayer for them is a life without strife
We
know what they face with each new day
Then
we pray for God to show them the way
There
is no amount of money to measure
That
could ever pay for this beautiful treasure
